Immersive Shopping Experience

During this project, I worked on optimizing the CTOUCH ECHO, a touchscreen interface for educational and business environments. The goal was to design a support tool that assists users without being intrusive or awkward, avoiding a “Clippy-like” experience. I followed the Human-Centered Design (HCD) process to keep users at the center and create an iterative design that truly meets their needs.

In the Empathize phase, I conducted user interviews with students and combined these insights with literature research on common touchscreen challenges. This helped me understand users’ pain points and needs. In the Define phase, I translated these insights into concrete design challenges, Point of View statements, and “How Might We” questions. Using the MoSCoW model for prioritization ensured the team focused on the most important improvements.

During the Ideate phase, the team reimagined the whiteboard feature as a Co-Creation Tool, including real-time collaboration, personalization, shared whiteboards, and AI support. In the Prototype phase, I created low- and mid-fidelity prototypes, focusing on gesture and voice control as well as AI-assisted guidance. User and client feedback was continuously incorporated, ensuring the design aligned with real-world needs.

The final outcome is a user-friendly CTOUCH ECHO interface with AI enhancements that expand existing features without being intrusive. The Co-Creation Tool makes collaboration intuitive and interactive, supporting both students and teachers. For my portfolio, I highlight the process of research, problem definition, ideation, and prototyping, demonstrating how I approach complex design challenges and deliver solutions that create real impact.
